Jack is a retired computer programming and systems analysis engineer. After retiring he went back to college for six years of graduate study in Geology and now teaches Introduction to Geology in the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) summer school program. While he was was initially interested in Norwegian Elkhounds, once Nikki introduced him to Great Danes in 1979, it only took a couple of years for the Danes to fully convert him. Jack is a founding member of the Great Dane Club of Mid Florida and exhibits his Great Danes in AKC conformation shows across central and northern California. He currently resides in Reno, Nevada where his two Great Danes Hannah (a six year old fawn) and Sierra (Hannah’s three year old brindle daughter) do offer to help in his ham radio and model railroad hobbies.
