Ashley obtained her first Great Dane, Brutus, in 2005 while working at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Since then, she and her husband Christopher have owned many rescued Great Danes and Great Dane mixes. Ashley currently competes with Twinkle, a Harlequin Great Dane and her first show dog, in conformation, Rally Obedience, Trick Dog, Scentwork, Barnhunt and FastCAT. Twinkle, a registered therapy dog, can also be seen cruising the nearby assisted living and nursing home facilities, bringing joy to residents and staff alike. Ashley and Christopher currently share their home with Twinkle, Jackson (Great Dane), and Georgia and Kahn, (Great Dane/Great Pyrenees siblings). The most recent additions to their Great Dane family include two of Twinkle’s puppies, Dazzle and Vinny.
